As part of Women’s Rights and Health Project (WRAHP) programme, to improve the health and wellbeing of the community members, WRAHP in partnership with NNPC/Chevron Nigeria and its employees organized a one-day cancer awareness raising programme with members of Ejigbo LCDA and Ejigbo Pepper Grinders Association. The project was aimed at providing technical support for medical check-up and testing on cancer prevention for 50 community member in Ejigbo for referrals and health services uptake and raising awareness on Cancer prevention and uptake of health services, and to engage partners in local communities, as well as among Government Officials and Health Workers for Cancer project implementation in Ejigbo of Lagos

57 community members in general were tested for BP, Breast and Cervical test. Among the results were community members who were diagnosed with High Blood Pressure, breast lumps or discharge, cervical prolix, Cervical Polyp, inverted breast nipple and other symptoms of breast cancer.
