WRHAP: Do you know that 5 girls report rape cases at the Ireti Resource Centre every month? Do you know that 11 women require rescue from scenes of active abuse and exploitation every month in Alimosho? and that 18 court cases involving sexual and gender-based violence go unprosecuted each month because of lack of funds? Ireti Resource Centre since its inception in 2020, has supported over 295 Sexual and Gender-Based Violence ranging from battery to Defilement, Sexual Abuse, Rape, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse amongst others some of which have required rescue, arrest, and legal intervention. Sadly, domestic violence and defilement are the most reported cases involving grassroots poor women and girls in Alimosho.
