Women’s Rights and Health Project WRAHP with support from The Girl Generation conducted a programme aimed at strengthening community systems, raise awareness to improve knowledge on the harmful practices of Female Genital Mutilation and increase their access to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights of young girls in Irrua community of Esan Central, Edo State, Nigeria.

The intervention reached over 4000 community members with FGM prevention information using the peer to peer approach to create awareness on the Edo State simplified FGM law through the Simplification and production of 3,000 copies of the Edo State FGM law into local and English languages and educational fliers on FGM during rally and step down sessions.
