WRAHP was engaged by Chevron Nigeria to implement a community health programme (IPP Project) focusing on HIV and Malaria prevention and control in 4 communities’ in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The intervention specifically built the capacity of 60 peer educators, conducted 24 step down sessions on HIV/AIDS and Malaria prevention, distributed 1,190 insecticide treated nets, 2000 units of Fasidar, 2500 units of Dart and provided 100 free HIV screening to members of the community. The project also recorded the development of a 13 member- network of community groups and local institutions across three communities namely; Agura, Egbin and Ijede. These network increased community engagement and facilitated uptake of the positive health practices
